Leaving a stressful life behind them, the hosts Gunther and Nathalie radically changed their lifestyle and followed their dream realising an amazing Bed and Breakfast where the 'good life' is the focus of their attention.

The B&B is situated in the beautiful region of the river Schelde in Flanders where you will find never ending digues along the river, amazing bike tracks and stunning hiking trails in forests nearby.We are located maximum 30 minutes driving time from major cities such as Antwerp, Brussels and Gent. You will find some historic and picturesque villages immediately suurounding the B&B such as Dendermonde, Bornem, Temse and Sint-Niklaas.

Relaxation and well being is what you can expect in our B&B. We offer 2 luxury rooms and 1 suite as well as a fully equipped wellness facility including jacuzzi, swimspa, hamam,, barrelsauna; infra red sauna, relaxlounges, rainshower, cold drop-bucket shower and gym. Breakfast is varied and healthy and we also organize themed days and themed evenings where guests can enjoy the cooking skills of the hostess. History:

The hosts Nathalie and Gunther try to enjoy life to the fullest and their goal is to share these feelings with their guests.Since life is Always too short they decided to turn things around and convert their landhouse into a luxury Bed and Breakfast. The B&B is located in the area where they lost their heart so long ago; in the middle of Flanders, 800 meters from the digues of the River Schelde in the picturesque village of Sint-Amands.

The name "Schanullieke B&B" relates to Nathalie's Lucky doll Schanulleke. who has been with her since she was 8. Schanulleke Always has a big smile on her face and whenever you look at her you cannot but smile! So the choice for the name of the B&B was easy! Schanulleke, Nathalie and Gunther always welcome you with a big smile

Rooms:

B&B Schanullieke offers its guests 2 luxury rooms and 1 suite.All rooms are equipped with super comfortable TEMPUR or hotel bedding and include free wif,I, smart flat screen TVs, Multi media, fridge, water cooker, tea and coffee facilities. Each room has a seperate bath room and kids up to 3 years stay for free. There is also optional access to the in-house gym, saunafacilities, swimspa and jacuzzi.. Families can opt for the suite which sleeps four. Obviously breakfast is up to high standard and at special request evening meals can be served..

Rates:

B&B Schanullieke offers its guests 2 luxury rooms or a suite as well as in-house fitness facilities, sauna and jacuzzi.

-Rooms 'Scheldedijken': 140 euro and 'Weert': 150 euro:(rate per room/night/VAT and taxes inclusive) (-15 euro if occupancy by only 1 guest)

-Luxury suite 'Schanulleke': with 2 guests occupancy: 160,00 euro

                                with 3 or4 guests occupancy: an extra charge of 25,00 euro is applicable per guest.

Kids aged less than 3 stay for free and are provied with kids cribs.

Use of wellness and fitness (gym/sauna's/jacuzzi/swimspa/hamam/relaxlounge): 105,00 euro/person for 2 hours or 3 hours wellness and dinerformula starting from 175 euro/couple. For more wellness-options please contact us via email or telephone!

Bookings are to be confirmed with 50% pre-payment on the Bank account of the total fee due for the booked stay. A confirmation of reservation will be sent by email upon receipt of the amount due. Cancellations later than 24 hours before the planned stay of arrival will not be refunded. The outstanding amount for the stay is due in cash payment upon check-out (no credit card or debet card)

For stays longer than 3 days special rates apply.

Check-in times between 16:00-18:00, Check-out times before 11:00 on the day of departure.

The B&B is smoke-free and no pets are allowed.

The Area:

The B&B Schanullieke is situated in the stunning region of the Schelde in Sint-Amands, close to cities such as Antwerp, Gent and Brussels with excellent road connections. The landhouse lies in ‘the middle of nowhere ‘in a dead-end country road surrounded by farms, cows and horses.

Those of us who like the active life will find everything they need: hiking trails in one of the biggest forests in East Flanders- Buggenhout Bos, biking tracks, endless well-paved digues and so on….

The amazing nature reserve ‘De Weert’ is only a few kilometers away where you are treated to beautiful sceneries, a medieval fully restored castle ‘Marnix of Sint Aldegonde’ and exquisite restaurants and cafés.

Discover cities with history such as Dendermonde, Bornem or Temse, all within cycling distance from the B&B.

Events:

B&B Schanullieke profiles itself as a Bead and Breakfast which takes it just one step further by offering a series of events to its guests:we organize on a regular basis themed cooking evenings as well as bycicle rides, win,e tasting and scenic flights over the region in a state-of-the-art brand-new single engine sports aeroplane. Anything is possible here!

*Themed Evenings: On demand hostess Nathalie organises themed cooking evenings such as Thai evenings, BBQ, wok, pasta and pizza buffets,cheese and wine evenings, Belgian mussels and fries, Flemish stew,….

*Scenic Flights: On demand and in function of weather conditions you can go for a scenic flight over the region in an ultra modern sports plane with pilot Gunther.You can even take it a step further and fly with your family to nearby scenic airfields such as Middelburg close to the Dutch lake Veerse Meer with its beautiful surroundings, hiking trails and sailing facilities. Host Gunther totalizes more than 12000 flying hours as a wide body captain on Airbus and holds an airline transport pilot license with all available instructor ratings. So you are in good hands!

*Cycling Trips: You want to go for a cycling trip on your own or you want us to set out a trip for you? Everything is possible. Bikes of all kind: race bikes, citybikes,electrically supported bikes and mountainbikes are for rent upon reservation.If required, biking GPS navigation systems are available. Rates upon request.

Wellness: (@ EXTRA CHARGE of 195 EUROS for 3 HRS)

B&B offers the guests in-house fitness and wellness facilities such as a fully equipped gym, a red cedar Canadian barrelsauna, infinity swimspa, hamam, infra-red sauna, relaxlounge as well as a fully relaxing Jacuzzi with more than 84 jets.

If desired full body massages are available through booking.
